– We are fortunate to have Valley Green Shredding of South Deerfield providing the Northampton Senior Center with their services as a courtesy at the Annual Shred Day Fundraiser on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 9-12 noon in the parking lot of the Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St. The event will be held rain or shine. Shred Day is a fundraising event to support the ongoing opportunities of the Northampton Council on Aging and Senior Center.
Now is the time to start collecting all those unwanted and sensitive documents that should be shred rather than just tossed in the trash or in your recyclables. This is a convenient way for your documents to be destroyed in a safe and confidential way so that your identity is not falling in to the wrong hands.
Please DO NOT bring the following: heavy metals such as but not limited to: 3 ring binders, hanging file folders, large binder clips, tools, as well as vinyl, plastics, x-rays and/or general waste product. These are NOT acceptable for shredding
A donation of $5.00 per bag/box is requested, but not obligated for having documents shredded. An additional service will be available as well. If you have old computer hard drives, those can also be brought along to have destroyed for a small requested donation of $10. per disk. The hard drive MUST be out of the computer.
So, start now and get those documents organized and bring them to the Annual Shred Day at the Northampton Senior Center on Saturday, June 21st from 9:00am-12:00noon.
There is no registration required just show up. For any questions or more information contact Patte Shaughnessy, Director at 413-587-1231
Hope to see you there.
