On Saturday, May 11th, our community has an opportunity to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics and help local students with college costs at the same time. Partnering with Gold Circuit E-Cycling of Ludlow, students at Holyoke Community College will be hosting a event to collect electronics of all shapes and sizes, with a vast majority of the reasonable drop-off fees being used to benefit a scholarship fund recently begun on campus as a result of a campus cell phone collection. Items being collected will include — but not be limited to — televisions, computers, large and small appliances, VCR’s, radios, even boxes of random batteries or wires. The partnering company even collects old tires. Fess will be $20 for televisions, $10 for monitors or larger appliances (or those with refrigerant), and $5 for most everything else. Please consider turning your old electronics into dollars for local students! Collection will be set up in the C parking lot outside of the Kittredge Building (signage will point you to the right location).
