The Exit 7 Players are proud to announce their summer Youth Players show, Oliver.
Oliver is a musical based on a story written long ago by Charles Dickens. The original story is a sad tale about a young boy whose mother died when he was born. He was put in a workhouse and given very little food and even less love. The musical tells the story in a way that is much easier to understand and in the end, Oliver is saved from his tragic life – just like in the movies.
This production of Oliver will be set in the streets of today where kids dance hip-hop and other funky dances. The production features a superior group of local talent ages 5-18, and is recommended for people of all ages.
Show dates are July 26, 27, Aug 2, 3 at 7:30pm and July 28 and August 4 at 2:00pm. Tickets prices are $19 (preferred), $17 (adult) and $15 (seniors over 62/children 12 and under) and are available through the Exit 7 Players Theater box office at www.exit7players.org or via phone at (413) 583-4301.
This production is directed by retired Ludlow music teacher Mary Jane Disco. It is musically directed by George Garber, and choreographed by Curtis Lemoine.
Since 1984, the Exit 7 Players have been dedicated to the production of classical, contemporary, and musical works that entertain, educate, and delight audiences of all ages. We also welcome other volunteers to help in other areas, costumes, set building, set painting, prop gathering, etc.
