The Center for Human Development (CHD) and Communty Resources for People with Autism are pleased to present an “Autism Information and Resource Fair” free of charge to local families and friends who are affected by autism and would like to know more. The information session will start at 6:45 p.m.
A panel of three professionals who work with families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders will provide brief overviews of their areas of expertise and then address topics and questions generated by the attendees. This panel will include CHD’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nate Somers, a board certified pediatric and adolescent psychiatrist; Community Resources for People with Autism’s Nancy Farnsworth, who is knowledgeable in advocacy for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders; and Community Resources’ Rhonda Ward, who brings a wealth of information about resources and interventions helpful in preparing youth for adulthood.
Additionally, the event will include an array of exhibitors from agencies and providers in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin Counties who provide goods and services that support individuals and families who have a child with autism.
